Follow the gold price per ounce (XAU/USD) and an estimated price per gram in UAE dirham for 24, 22, 21 and 18 karat, with a price chart, pivot support and resistance levels, gold news and the US data releases that move it. The AED estimate uses the gold futures price and the USD/AED peg (3.6725). It excludes the making charges and VAT that jewellery shops add, and prices may be delayed.
Today’s summary: As of 7 Nov 2026, 02:00 UAE time, gold was at $4,070.93 an ounce (−0.94% on the day) and 24K gold was AED 480.67 a gram in the UAE and 22K AED 441.07.
Gold is priced worldwide in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1035 grams). The 24K price per gram = the USD price per ounce ÷ 31.1035 × the USD exchange rate of the local currency. For other karats we multiply by purity: 22K = 91.67%, 21K = 87.5% and 18K = 75%.
The UAE dirham is pegged at 3.6725 per US dollar, the Saudi riyal at 3.75, the Qatari riyal at 3.64, the Bahraini dinar at 0.376 and the Omani rial at 0.3845. The Kuwaiti dinar is pegged to a basket, so we use its market rate.
The main drivers are US interest rates and expectations for them, the strength of the dollar, US inflation and jobs data, geopolitical tension and central-bank buying. That is why we show the key US data releases in UAE time next to the price.
Jewellery shop prices add making charges, the dealer’s margin and VAT where it applies, so they are higher than the metal value calculated here.
No. It is the value of the gold metal calculated from the world price. Shops add making charges, their margin and tax, and the price they pay you when you sell is lower than their selling price.
The global gold market closes at the weekend, so the last price stays on screen with its time until trading reopens early on Monday, UAE time.
